For sure, you use different ways to advertise your products and services, and even tools to optimize your website for the Canadian market. Use a simple trick to improve your digital marketing strategy with content marketing to attract more customers in any Province and Territory of Canada.

What is content marketing?


From the point of view of the objectives, there are two types of promotion: direct and indirect. In the case of direct promotion, things are simple: you show to the world a product and you hope many people will buy it. Read about marketing mix to find more.

In the case of indirect promotion, you show to the world something interesting and free of charge (content), and hope that as many people as possible will "fall in love" for what you are showing them, they will stay with you and finally, after they get to know you and have confidence in time, will buy the product you want to sell in Ontario, Quebec, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Manitoba, British Columbia, Prince Edward Island, Saskatchewan, Alberta, Newfoundland And Labrador, Northwest Territories, Yukon, Nunavut.

In short, this is content marketing.

It seems simple. And in reality it is. It's not really complicated. However, many who promote this way make an important mistake.

They do not include a very important link to content promotion: what is the next step?
ALWAYS tell to people clearly and remind the visitor what the next step it is.

Like any marketing strategy, the content promotion has two essential rules:

   - It must have a clear purpose
   - It must be measurable and improved

Many people assume that if they have quality content it's ok. If you have good articles or good posts on Facebook or an interesting email, it should be enough. More than this, probably it is not enough to target only Capitals - Toronto, Quebec City, Halifax, Fredericton, Winnipeg, Victoria, Charlottetown, Regina, Edmonton, St. John`s, Yellowknife, Whitehorse, Iqalnit.

The reality is that if everything you do is quality, you will see some results. If your articles are good in quality and the newsletter is good, then you will have traffic. And if you have traffic, it is IMPOSSIBLE to not have customers or even requests for your products and services.

The problem is that any quality content involves an effort on your part (or your team). Good articles are not written on their own, email is not sent alone, and so on.

It should be better if this effort is SIGNIFICANTLY MORE EFFICIENT?

If you still allocate resources and energy to promote you through content, would not it be good to make the most of it? Probably you already know that content should be somehow different for people from Quebec (QC) or Alberta (AB), Ontario (ON), British Columbia (BC), mainly based on people`s interests.

Content Marketing Rules


    1. Always tell the visitor clearly and remind him of the next step to do
    2. There must be the next step in content ("The next step is...", because you always have a goal!)

You should not forget that for any content you accomplish, your ultimate goal is selling. No matter how beautiful your articles or videos are, if you do not sell at the end of the month, you don`t have money and the story is over.

So, you should not forget that promoting content is a way to achieve your goals, not an end in itself. This means that any content you make and promote must "push" the visitor to the next step. This is a direct sales tunnel implementation.

What is actually the next step?

It depends on the content you make. It can be:

   - A link to download a free guide IF the written material is an introductory one. For example, download a free SEO guide.
   - If the material (movie, article, etc.) is more advanced, then you can send the visitor directly  to the product page or to a download page of a test-version. For example, the free SEO audit request page. A free SEO auditing is a slightly more specialized product because it is useful only if you know what SEO is and if you have a site to audit. It's a "higher" stage than a free guide that addresses almost anyone.
   - Anything else that requires the visitor to do "something" to hook him up and then go back to him. For example, subscribe to newsletter, like your facebook page, youtube, subscribe to push notification, and so on.

Essentially, you write an article to be read by many people because you want to make sure you stay with something from everyone who reads it. It's not feasible to think that once a man reads an article, he's ready to fall on his back of wonder and admiration, and he'll buy whatever you want to sell.

You have to have an intermediate stage and you have to make sure you tell the visitor clearly and repeatedly what the product or service is and what he has to do.
